Gunmen set fire to the village of Governor Hope Uzodinma in Imo State,

An unidentified group of gunmen set fire to the village of Governor Hope Uzodinma in Imo State, 


 in Omuma Oru East Local Government Area on Saturday, April 24, and killed a security officer.

A source who spoke to Punch said the attackers shot  two of them during clashes with security forces, adding that the fire damaged vehicles in the village.

Information and Strategy Commissioner Declan Emelumba confirmed the incident.

"It is true, but there are still no details. It is not true that many security personnel lost their lives.

"At least two security personnel were killed at the governor's residence. An NSCDC officer was among those killed in the attack.
